Lucy Highsmith joined Church DeVoe and Associates in 2007.  She graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a minor in Spanish.   After graduation, she taught Principles of Accounting and Quicken at the Alaska Computer Institute for one year. For the next ten years, Lucy worked at Frontier Flying Service, the largest interior airline in Alaska.  During this period, she supervised the Data Entry Dept, managed the company gift shop (clothing) and became Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of the company.

Lucy is married to the famous Dr. Raymond  Highsmith, formerly a professor of marine science at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and currently the Executive Director of the National Institute for Undersea Science and Technology  at Ole Miss as well as director of the UM Field Station. 

Lucy played soccer professionally in Europe and has coached youth soccer in Alaska.  As a player-coach her women’s team won the state championship.  She has been a volunteer interpreter for Spanish-speakers and enjoys bicycling, working out and loves movies.
